MediaTen is now a cool team with a modern approach to development, which includes 36 specialists with burning eyes and love for their work.
We started this year with activities: we attended several events, filmed a video presentation and participated in the ratings of IT companies for the first time. We took 1st place in outstaffing in Yekaterinburg and 10th place in Russia according to Runet. Next time we plan to take the leading places in Russia in all our main areas.
If we talk about plans for this year as a whole, then we want to move to our own office of more than 350 sq. m. and renovate it with a unique trendy design that will reflect our spirit. As well as signing more major contracts and expanding staff. We are already working in these areas, continuing to introduce new technologies and take care of our employees and customers.
COVID-19 forced us to completely rethink the format of work both within the company and with clients. We survived, but it was really not easy to do so. 50% of projects were put on hold, and receivables amounted to the organization's half-yearly income.
MediaTen is first and foremost a team. Therefore, even at the moment of crisis, there was no thought of firing anyone. And despite the fact that some began to panic, all salaries were paid on time. To improve communication between programmers who performed tasks remotely during the pandemic, Dmitry took on the role of IT director. Under his leadership, they began to create and maintain more complex web products, identified their weaknesses and upgraded them to the maximum.
We have become more experienced, stronger, more united.
By 2021, the receivables were completely closed, and we changed two separate offices to one spacious one, with a total area of 150 sq. m. We equipped a gaming area with a PlayStation and our own mini-bar, as well as purchased several electric scooters and introduced VHI.At the same time, the company's trademark was registered. It took us six months to submit the documents and get the result. Although the process was long, we end up with a protected right to our intellectual property.
We created our own ERP system for managing a digital agency, which we are finalizing to this day. We introduce new features into it and subsequently want to register it in the Russian Software Register.
One of the significant events of 2022 was that we received accreditation as an official IT company.

2017 is the start of visiting conferences, where we learned new things and shared our achievements of the Yii2Group project. At one of the conferences, we met Alexander Makarov, the developer of the Yii framework, who motivated us to move on.
The desire to become bigger, stronger and stronger made us move forward at an incredible speed. We actively developed and implemented a new technology stack: Node.js, MongoDB, Vue.js, React, GraphQL. We constantly purchased modern equipment. We continued to expand the team by renting two more offices of 35 sq. m and 48 sq. We began to think more about employees, so we bought comfortable Samurai chairs, a coffee machine, a juicer, and developed a lot of souvenirs: mugs, T-shirts, sweatshirts, etc. We also started to have our first corporate tradition: we started celebrating Pizza Day every 1-2 weeks.
There were more promising areas for the company's development, and Vyacheslav realized that he should focus only on them. Therefore, he decided to introduce the position of “assistant manager” and transfer the duties of operational activities to this employee. Invoicing, record keeping, maintaining and running the offices have been taken over by the new employee. The personal assistant allowed Vyacheslav to focus on new tasks and devote more time to solving them. As a result, we had the opportunity to choose more interesting projects.

We wanted change, perspectives and opportunities that were not available in our hometown. We wanted to grow both as programmers and as a company. Vyacheslav came across an advertisement for the lease of premises in Yekaterinburg, and on January 21 we moved into a new office with an area of 37 sq. m. We began to actively increase the customer base and promote development on the Yii2 framework. In the meantime, the programmer Vitaliy joined the team, followed by several new specialists.
A large family-company required space, so in the fall we rented a second office of 22 sq. m. Taking into account the specifics of our work, we came to the conclusion that the main activity of the company is outsourcing using the Yii2 framework. Therefore, we made a separate advertising platform for the Yii2Group project. Less than a month later, the site began to give the first requests. Together with other advertising, the company received new large customers for long-term cooperation.

2013 was the official starting point for the creation of a real company. To declare our actual existence, we rented an office of 35 sq. m in the city of Pervouralsk on the first floor of a five-story residential building. We brought our computers from home. We invested everything that was at that time and continued to invest any extra ruble in the promotion of the company.
By the summer, we came up with the name MediaTen, which unites the entire media space and 10 advantages of placing on it: professionalism, teamwork, great experience, affordable prices, in-depth analysis of projects, warranty obligations, contract work, instructions and training, everything is under control, support 24/7. We developed a logo in the form of a tree with 10 leaves, embodying the growth, development and scale of the project. A year later, we created a personal website with a turnkey development concept.
In addition to the main activity, we were engaged in 3D modeling, development and support of our own product (furniture unit). At the same time, the programmer Igor joined the team and its values were formed: determination, independence, initiative, mutual assistance, solidarity, trust.

Vyacheslav got the necessary experience to start working in the city portal of Pervouralsk ‘ProSpravka’. In addition to developing and maintaining websites, he learned how to build a dialogue with clients and search for employees. He realized that he himself was a leader by nature, and decided to create his own company. He was joined by experienced portal programmers Dmitry and Daniil. We started without a name, getting our first clients from ProSpravka and WebBerloga.

Vyacheslav Egorov, CEO MediaTen, was fond of programming since childhood and entered the Ural Radio Engineering College named after A.S. Popov. After graduating from an educational institution, he came up with the idea of creating his own company. He realized that the future belongs to IT, and began to move towards his goal.
